Chatwise Assessment
How to use this resource
This module contains 2 activities - the test and the quiz. Please read the step-by-step instructions provided for each activity before getting started. Worksheets are required for the homework activity and a pdf version of the quiz is available should students not have devices to complete this quiz individually online. There is also a Chatwise Certificate included here which can be printed and presented to each student on completion of homework activity and passing the test. You can access these by clicking on the Print Sheets button found within the individual activity information sections above.
This module gives teachers an opportunity to recap on and assess the key learning points raised in the previous modules dealing with accessing personal information, respectful communication, and raising awareness of online anonymity. The assessment is embedded in an interactive quiz in which pupils are given 10 multiple-choice questions and must give 5 correct answers in order to pass the test. If you prefer to use a paper based assessment, a ten question multi-choice test sheet is provided. Pupils that successfully pass the test can be given a Chatwise Certificate to take home. The certificate details the skills that the pupils have attained; we feel that this is a good way of keeping parents informed on what their children are learning in class. Learning Outcomes:
When they have finished this module, your pupils will be able to:
- Demonstrate confidence and good decision making when communicating online.
- Understand that people they meet online aren’t always who they say they are.

Present the Chatwise certificate to your class.
Congratulations, You are officially Chatwise! You know how to identify and deal with unwanted messages. You understand that people you might chat to online aren't always who they appear to be. You know how to protect your personal information when you are signing up to use apps/games/websites. You have agreed to treat others with respect when you chat with them on the internet.
